Cara & Jason's Story...

Jason and I have been together for 4 and ½ years and we were friends for a few years prior to that. Jason helped me pick out my first car, a Volkswagen which brought us closer, and eventually we started dating. Jason and I have shared a passion for Volkswagens ever since. In fact, he even proposed to me at a VW show in BC! We drive out to Coquitlam, BC together every year for this show, and we usually spend a week there and go camping after.

In August of 2008, we drove out to BC for the 3rd year, and Jason entered his car in the show. Nearing the end of the day, everyone was called up to the main tent so they could present the awards for the best, and 2nd best cars, etc. We had a group of friends with us, and we were all standing at the main tent together. The emcee was talking, and mentioned that before he got to the awards, he had a special request, and announced that he needed Cara Huck to come to the front. I was so nervous, and had all eyes on me. I had NO idea what was going on. As I neared the tent, I looked back at my friends wondering if this was maybe some kind of a prank they were playing on me in front of hundreds of people. The emcee then asked me a few questions to distract me, like how many years Jason & I had been coming to this show, etc. The emcee then told me that he needed to "get something" and he would be right back. As he was walking away, I looked over and saw Jason walking up to me through the crowd. He had a very nervous look on his face, and I began to wonder. My heart started to race. When Jason got to me, he took my hand and told me how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee in front of everyone, and the crowd cheered. There was also a photographer there from a magazine, and there is a picture in that magazine of us, with a caption underneath it that says "She said yes!!" The day could not have gone any better, Jason really knows me well, because he couldn't have picked a better place to pop the big question!

This wedding is the next step in our lives together. We can't imagine how anyone could think they deserve to win a $98,000 wedding, but we can tell you why this wedding would mean the world to us. A $98,000 dream wedding would be exactly that - a dream come true. A wedding day like this would reflect how much we love each other. We are so excited to be involved in this contest, it is another wonderful story we will be able to tell our friends and families!
